My work is an abstracted representation of my memories, how I view the world, and how I see myself and relate with others. The materials that I choose to use evoke feelings of permanence, ephemerality, fragility and robustness, creating a tension that paradoxically stabilizes them together. I use textiles because they tell a story, communicate an idea and convey a narrative in a visual and tactile way. Using a meditative process expressed by a free stream of consciousness and flow, my compositions personify my internal state and the impermanence of the external world.
Exploring themes such as identity, consciousness and singulatarianism, my work highlights the relationship we have with time and challenges us to engage with our temporal existence.
